Find Out More About The System

Systematically organizing data related to education and its management in the form of an EMIS is vital for policy planning and implementation, decision-making, and the monitoring and evaluation of our education system. In the Gambia, a standard, reliable system is lacking. The primary objective of this project is to develop a reliable web-based database that will have a mobile and desktop component, allowing academic institutions to frequently input relevant information which would be accessible at a centralized database, and can be used to better inform policy and evaluate our education system.

Who can have access to the system?

The School Admin and the teachers.
Is there an API available to integrate with the system?

Yes the API will be available to all institutions the system is deployed at.
Where can I find the user manual?

The user manual can be found on the last module of the system.
Is the software for free?

Yes it’s free for all high education and tertiary institutions.
Can students use the system?

No, students can’t access the system.
Can different users have access to each other’s data?

No, it’s really secured, each user can only have access to their own data.
Can staff enroll and unroll students?

No, only admin can enroll and unroll students.
Does the system automatically generate id for students?

No, the system doesn’t automatically generate IDs for students, the admin manually enters the IDs when adding a student.
Where does data go to after it’s been synced?

After the data is synced, it’s automatically stored to the Global EMIS database.
Does the system require Internet connection to be used?

Yes, in order for one to access the system, you need an internet connection.
Do staff have access to the system after their employment is terminated?

Staffs do not have access to data anymore after there employment is terminated.

Is this system for all educational institutions?

No, the system it for only higher education and tertiary institutions.
Can I export reports from the system?

Yes reports can be exported from the system in word, excel and PDF formats.
Can admins edit data entered by staff (for example scores)?

No, admins cannot edit data they entered by staff, they can only edit the data they entered.
What can users do to retrieve their passwords if forgotten?

In order for users to retrieve their password if forgotten, they have to click on the “forgot password” in the login page, enter their email and then it will enable them to reset their password.
Can a staff be in more than one department?

No, staffs can be in only one department at a time.

Is there a mobile version of the software?

There is a mobile version for only the teacher profile.
What different profiles does the system have?

Admin profile and staff profile.
Can teachers enter scores and take attendance?

Yes teachers can enter score and take attendance of students.
